“For over 50 years, Alderley have been at the forefront of systems integration to meet the needs of the Oil and Gas industry”, described Matthew.  “Growing from a humble workshop in Gloucestershire, Alderley now sell their technical excellence across the globe.”

Paying tribute to the Shepherd family and in particular Mr Tony Shepherd, founder and Chairman of Alderley, Matthew explained how companies aspiring to develop their international business could benefit from Alderley’s experiences.

“Getting close to and understanding your customer’s needs is paramount”, continued Matthew.  “Being committed, putting in the hard yards and building relationships across international borders is the only way to succeed…this can only be achieved through a concerted effort from across the business.”

“Alderley’s success in this area reflects the strengths of our team, the leadership, and the commitment of the Shepherd family.”

Referencing international trade bodies including the Department of International Trade (DIT) and UK Export Finance (UKEF), Matthew concluded “if you are planning to pursue international business development, then I encourage you to utilise the experience and knowledge of the DIT and UKEF who can support you in your international endeavours”.
